1  Sūrat al Fātiha ~ the Opening



In the name of God the Compassionate the Merciful                           1


All praise is for God, Lord of the worlds,                                             2


The Compassionate the Merciful,                                                         3


Owner of the day of the religion.                                                          4


You alone do we serve, You alone do we ask for help.                         5


Guide us on the straight path,                                                                6


The path of those on whom You have bestowed favor,                         7

Not those upon whom is Your wrath,

Or who have gone astray.
